The wastes of Washington made for an incredible journey once you got into it, and there’s an abundance of little moments that are just for you, and you alone. Bethesda created a post-apocalyptic wasteland that actually felt like one should, and gave it bags of personality and vibrancy even though its palette is almost entirely dreary, sickening greens. A touching, fantastical and heartbreaking story is told of the young boy Oliver’s adventures in a magical kingdom, and the characters he meets are as endearing as they are daft. Ni No Kuni proved that the it could be done not just on paper, but in reality too.
